Dupont Underground announces a groundbreaking exhibition “Common Ground, Common Future: Reimagining the Heart of the District”, as part of the “Dupont Underground Architecture and the Question of Democracy Series”.
The exhibition focuses on the DC Office of Planning Public Realm Plan initiatives aimed at reshaping public spaces as catalysts for social transformation while fostering a more inclusive, vibrant, and accessible downtown area.
The exhibition emphasizes on strengthening connections between Downtown, Dupont Circle, and Dupont Underground, highlighting their proximity, strategic location, accessibility, and historical significance.
About Common Ground, Common Future
“Common Ground, Common Future: Reimagining the Heart of the District”, highlights how targeted investments in public spaces can address post-pandemic challenges and create a more dynamic urban core while fostering connections with nearby neighborhoods. Featured projects include enhanced pedestrian pathways, streets, plazas, parks and innovative strategies for activating both street-level and underground areas.
Community forums will be held throughout March to gather public input through panel discussions and events.
