New to Dupont Underground?

We’ve transformed a historic underground streetcar station into a dynamic hub for art, culture and design. Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your visit:

  • Our official address is 19 Dupont Circle NW, but you’ll spot our red entrance right next to the Dupont Circle Starbucks on 19th Street!

  • We recommend taking a taxi or ride share service, though street parking is available nearby. For easy reference, direct your driver to the Dupont Circle Starbucks on 19th St , North of the circle.

    Metro is also available.  We are located  3 min away from the Dupont Circle station . Please take the North exit, which is the closest to us.

    If you prefer a garage, the closest option at 11 Dupont Circle NW  is a short walk away. Please note: The garage closes at 11 PM on weekdays and 8 PM on Sundays.

  • Our main entrance requires using stairs, but if you need access to the chairlift, kindly let us know in advance by emailing chairlift@dupontunderground.org.

  • While there are no on-site restrooms at the moment, facilities are available across the street at the Dupont Circle Hotel or Kramer’s bookstore.

Some are free and some are ticketed. Main entrance is located at 19 Dupont Circle, NW.
