Nation State

  • Dupont Underground 19 Dupont Circle Northwest Washington, DC, 20036 United States (map)

IMMERSIVE THEATER: NATION-STATE: A Live Experiment

Presented by La Pluma Theatre

Can a nation truly keep us safe? Welcome to the world’s smallest country—and admission isn’t guaranteed.

Upon arrival in the tunnels of Dupont Underground, you'll receive a passport to a self-declared nation built to protect its citizens from an uncertain world. Before crossing the border, you’ll be forced through unexpected rituals, moral dilemmas, and absurd ideological tests to prove you're worthy. In this promenade-style, immersive theatrical experiment, you won't just watch the story—you'll become part of it. (Recommended for ages 16+; comfortable footwear recommended).

For full show details, artist bios, and complete program notes, please see the ticketing page.
