Discover your next favorite read in record time! Hosted by local author and artist Theodore Carter, Dear Reader brings D.C.’s vibrant independent literary scene front and center during October’s First Friday.
In a fast-paced, 30-minute showcase, five to six local authors will take the mic with just five minutes each to pitch their books directly to you. Lightning style! It's an exciting, rapid-fire way to meet local writers, hear about incredible hidden-gem books, and buy copies directly from Theodore Carter on-site.
Come explore the newly installed Local Author Bookshelf at Dupont Underground which features 22 authors published by small presses.
Plus, attendees can explore the current art exhibitions on display throughout the space during First Friday. Craving even more literary goodness? Stick around right here at Dupont Underground as Kramers hosts an author talk at 8:00 PM!
