Miss Kitty

Life’s Other Plans

June 19-21, 2026

Produced by La Pluma Theater

When things don’t go as expected, how do you deal with them? From love to loss, self-reflection to acceptance, rebuilding to rebranding, defeat to triumph, everyone has to occasionally find their way again.

With wit, wisdom, and the music of yesterday, Life’s Other Plans is a relevant tale for today. In an intimate, hour-long cabaret of story and song, Helen Hayes nominee and queer artiste Miss Kitty makes her powerful one-woman show debut.

Blending live music and storytelling, this production shares Miss Kitty’s journey as a Black trans woman and actress in the DMV area. The piece highlights both the beauty and the challenges of navigating the performing arts, offering a meaningful space to uplift trans voices, foster allyship, and create connection within our community this Pride Month.

  • Dates: June 19, 20 & 21

  • Runtime: 1 hour (No intermission)
