Pride in Print

  • Dupont Underground 19 Dupont Circle Northwest Washington, DC, 20036 United States (map)

“Pride in Print: The Washington Blade’s Journey” celebrates the rich history of the Washington Blade, one of the oldest and most influential LGBTQ+ newspapers in the United States.

The exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the decades, showcasing the Blade’s pivotal role in reporting on, shaping, and advocating for LGBTQ+ rights.

From its early days as a small local paper to its evolution into a nationally recognized news source, the Washington Blade has been at the forefront of LGBTQ+ journalism.

During Pride Month, Dupont Underground celebrates the Blade’s commitment to fearless reporting and its impact on the fight for equality as a testament to the power of the press in driving social change.
