On Thursday June 5, join the Picnic Theatre Company at Dupont Underground for a live performance of a parody play, Heaven Can Wait!
A Washington Post investigative reporter, on the cusp of winning the coveted Pulitzer Prize for journalism, is accidentally taken away from his body by an overanxious angel before he was meant to die. The reporter returns to life in the body of a recently murdered millionaire. How will the reporter adjust to his predicament, avoid his treacherous adversaries, and find his way back to his life and vocation?
Join us as The Picnic Theatre Company presents our loving parody of the classic Heaven Can Wait – a story so beloved that the original 1940s movie has been remade twice as the iconic, Warren Beatty version from the 1970s, and again by comedian Chris Rock in the 2000s.
This story takes place in Washington DC, present day.
