Flower Bomb

Muralist Chris Pyrate

Flower Bomb was a festival of art, fashion, and music in August 2019 showcasing the city’s local talent curated by one of the city’s most visible muralists Chris Pyrate. The “Flower” refers to the city’s relationship with the Cherry Blossom Festival as well as Chris Pyrate’s use of the cherry blossom within his iconic Mural Pattern. The “Bomb” spotlights that the city is full of talent ready to blow up onto the national scene. The event combined Chris Pyrate’s experience from curating ART Basel 2017+2018 with the musical expertise of such local talents and programmers as Bemo Brown and DJ Domo(of Girlaaa).
