Underground Resistance Night brings together independent filmmaker CJ Crim and author Chris Pickett for an evening celebrating the people power of grassroots movements!
Join us to explore how community resistance comes together through art, film, and conversation. Enjoy interactive poster-making, art on display, a feature documentary screening, and an engaging author talk—all in the iconic space of Dupont Underground.
Featuring:
CJ Crim: Independent filmmaker presenting her documentary film Resisterhood, which captures the fierce, diverse leaders driving the modern movement for social justice and democracy.
Chris Pickett: Author sharing insights from his memoir, The People United, which chronicles the founding and growth of the Indivisible movement in Montgomery County.
EmpowHERed: A Sisterhood That CARES (Community. Action. Respect. Empowerment. Support) is a proud Indivisible chapter of compassionate, like-minded women dedicated to building and strengthening our communities.
1/3 of all door proceeds are generously donated to support Dupont Underground as a continuing space for local arts and culture in Washington, DC.
