On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, November 11, 12, and 13, join the Picnic Theatre Company at Dupont Underground for an epic adventure across time, The Secrets of Easter Island Finally Revealed!

Easter Island and its awe-inspiring giant stone idols overlooking the Pacific Ocean have become the stuff of lore, along with Stonehenge and other marvels whose origins defy easy explanation. Mystery shows like Ancient Aliens and In Search Of have trafficked in supernatural theories of extra-terrestrial intervention, inter-dimensional beings, lost civilizations, and others. Based on a true story, The Secrets of Easter Island, Finally Revealed! takes a provocative, humorous journey across centuries to discover the truth about Easter Island. Along the way, we meet intrepid explorers, ambitious entrepreneurs, investigative journalists, brilliant scholars, and obsessive truth seekers who will stop at nothing to find answers.

About Picnic Theatre Company

Since its founding in 2010, Picnic Theatre Company’s brand of site-specific party theater has been called a “culture party hybrid taking Washington by storm” by the Washington Post. According to the Financial Times, “the Picnic Theatre Company’s bipartisan players spend their days running the country and their evenings running the show.”

Picnic Theatre audience goers enjoy cocktail and garden party performances in beautiful and exciting arts venues such as Dupont Underground, Tudor Place museum, Dumbarton House museum, the Phillips Collection, Woodlawn Mansion and Pope-Leighey House, and the Embassies of France, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, and the European Union, and the French Consulate General in New York City. Washington D.C. professionals, journalists, and diplomats by day and actors by night, the all-volunteer Picnic Theatre players donate the proceeds of performances to museums and arts and education charities.
