WORKSHOP / ROUNDTABLE: DC Arts Orgs Collective Purchasing Lunch
Presented by: Dupont Underground & Community Purchasing Alliance Co-op
Lower Facilities & Overhead Costs for Your DC-Area Arts Venue
Are high facility and operational costs taking resources away from your artistic mission? Dupont Underground is bringing together DC-area arts and culture leaders from both non-profit and for-profit venues that manage physical spaces—including Operations, Facilities, Finance, and Executive Directors—for a collaborative roundtable and working lunch generously hosted by the Community Purchasing Alliance (CPA) Co-op.
For over 10 years, CPA has helped community institutions leverage collective purchasing power to negotiate better rates, lower operational costs, and vet quality vendors. By pooling our purchasing power across local arts venues, we can lower costs on the core facility services that keep our doors open—including utilities (fixed-rate energy protection), commercial insurance (group rate leverage), waste and recycling (fair contracts with local/BIPOC-/woman-owned haulers), and back-office accounting services. Attending this lunch does not obligate your organization to anything; it is simply an open opportunity to explore what collective purchasing might bring to DC's arts community.
