About This Series
Everyone loves cherry blossoms in DC — and we all see them in our own way. This community photo call is for everyone.
Blossom Fever is a two-week projection exhibition at Dupont Underground featuring cherry blossom photographs taken by DMV residents. No professionals required. No aesthetic agenda. Just your blossoms, your neighborhood, your eye.
Selected photos will be projected on the 300-foot projection wall of Dupont Underground’s historic reclaimed trolley station during the first two weekends of April 2026
Applications due by 11:59 pm, March 15, 2026.
How to Submit — Three steps to get in.
1. Select your photos
Choose up to three cherry blossom photos taken anywhere in the DMV. Any camera, any year — as long as the blossoms are yours and the location is real.
2. Fill in the Canva template
Use our Canva template to format each photo with your name, the date it was taken, the location, and a title. Download each completed image at high resolution.

3. Submit your photos
Upload your completed photos using our Google Form. Include your name and email so we can reach you if your work is selected.

What we’re looking for.
Cherry blossoms — interpreted however you see them. In your backyard, on your commute, in a strip mall parking lot, through your windshield at a red light. We want DC proper heavily represented, but the whole DMV is welcome.
The basics
• Up to 3 photos per person
• Must be Cherry Blossoms
• Open to DC, Maryland, and Virginia residents
• Any camera — phone, film, DSLR, disposable
• Photos can be from any year, as long as they’re yours and the location is real
• Free to submit — a jury reviews all entries and selects the final exhibition
• Not every submission will be accepted
Canva template required
Each submitted photo must use our Canva template. You’ll fill in four fields: your name, the date the photo was taken, the location, and a title for your photo. Download at high resolution and upload with your submission.

Admission is $5. If your work is selected for the exhibition, you receive 5 free tickets to share however you’d like.
