Washington Arts Ensemble is back! Join us for All Hallow’s Eve, Night I . Together we’ll enjoy pieces with musical references to otherworldly spirits, superstition and ritual, and even elements of death and the macabre. Pianist and cofounder Christopher Schmitt will perform devilish works for piano solo, including Liszt's Mephisto Waltz and Chopin's Funeral March Sonata, and will be joined by Violinist Katie Hyun of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center performing Wieniawski's Faust Fantasy and Saint-Saens' Dance Macabre, and Chasson's Poeme, based on a chilling short story by Ivan On Friday, 10/28.
