This exhibition consists of a set of panels RETRACING THE STEPS THAT WERE TAKEN- JOSÉ SARAMAGO 1922-2022 and short videos about the personal and literary career of José Saramago, the Portuguese recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature.

This multimedia exhibit is a narrative "journey" in reading and re-reading Saramago as suggested by a passage in his work Journey to Portugal:

"It is necessary to retrace the steps that were taken, to repeat them and to plot new paths alongside them."

A collaboration between the Embassy of Portugal, Dupont Underground, Saramago Foundation, and Camoes, IP.

By purchasing a ticket, you automatically enter a raffle for a round trip ticket from Washington Dulles to Portugal.
