Mágica Muerte: A celebration of contemporary women artists from Oaxaca

  • Dupont Underground 19 Dupont Circle Northwest Washington, DC, 20036 United States (map)

Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is a celebration embracing the duality of life and death in Mexican culture. DU’s exhibition Mágica Muerte: A celebration of contemporary women artists from Oaxaca not only allows the visitor to understand and appreciate the depth of Oaxaca's spiritual tradition, but in a more practical sense, it is also an opportunity to start closing the persisting economic and opportunity gaps that disproportionately affect women artists in Mexico.
